This page explains what Fiberarticle collects when you use the website and the app, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Fiberarticle is run by Abdul Ateeb in India. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and your password stored only as a secure hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. If you sign in with Microsoft, we receive your name and email address from Microsoft.
- Your work: the topics and questions you give Fiberarticle, the files you upload, and the reports, articles, chats and tables it makes for you, along with your settings.
- Your payment record: the amount, the currency, the date, the payment method type (for example UPI or card) and the order and payment IDs from Razorpay. We never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login. Those go only to Razorpay. If you buy through Microsoft Marketplace, Microsoft takes the payment and sends us the subscription details: the plan, the term and its status, and the email address and Microsoft Entra tenant ID of the buyer and of the person the subscription is for.
- Sign-in and security data: a sign-in cookie, and the IP address and browser of each session, so you can stay signed in and we can spot misuse. Our servers also keep short technical logs.
How we use it
To run the service for you, to keep your account secure, to send you account and payment emails (for example a verification code or a payment receipt), and to answer you when you write to us. Fiberarticle itself does not use your work to train AI models, and we do not send marketing emails without asking.
How the AI sees your work
To answer a question or write a draft, Fiberarticle sends your text and the relevant parts of papers to an AI model. That model is the one you choose in Settings: Fiberarticle AI (run through our AI provider), a provider you connect with your own key, or a model running on your own machine. If you add your own key, we store it encrypted and use it only for your requests.
Fiberarticle AI uses free models from our AI provider. For some of these models, the company that makes the model may use the requests sent to it to improve that model while it is offered free. If you do not want that, choose a provider you connect with your own key, or a model running on your own machine, in Settings. Those follow the terms of the provider you choose.
Who helps us run Fiberarticle
These services process data for us, only to do their part:
- Supabase, which hosts our database in India (Mumbai).
- Oracle Cloud, which runs our servers in India (Hyderabad).
- Razorpay, which processes payments.
- Resend, which sends account and payment emails.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Microsoft, if you choose to sign in with Microsoft or buy through Microsoft Marketplace.
- The AI model provider that answers your requests.
- Scholarly indexes such as arXiv, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar and Crossref, which receive the search queries made for your research.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers small choices such as your theme. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and the website runs no analytics.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your work until you delete them. Payment records are kept for as long as Indian law requires businesses to keep accounts, even after an account is deleted.
Your choices
- Download everything: Settings, then Account, then Download my data.
- Correct your details: change your name in Settings, or write to us.
- Delete your account: Settings, then Account, then Delete account. This removes your account and all of your work for good.
For anything else about your data, write to admin@fiberarticle.com.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and saved API keys are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.
Children
Fiberarticle is made for students and researchers. If you are under 18, use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date.
